It has been an eventful week! It was so cute, the other day we were walking from an appointment and a bunch of little kids ran up to us and asked us if we were handing out free Bibles. We asked them if they wanted a picture of Jesus, and we gave them all pass along cards. One of the kids was like, "Wait, this is God? I thought he was bald headed! I ain't ever seen him before!!" One of his friends was like, "Yeah I ain't ever seen Jesus before! Have you? " Another friend said, "Yeah! Just now!" Little things like that make my day!
Sometimes it’s discouraging when everything falls through or just don't work out the way I plan, but to know that we are planting seeds everywhere we go is comforting. This week we were able to go to the temple! It was so awesome to be with both of the Fayetteville zones. We had to get up at 4:15 to go pick up everyone and meet our ride in PTC. I felt like a zombie all day, but we made it there and back safely in Atlanta traffic, which is a miracle in itself!
A few days ago all of our appointments that we had set fell through, and we just felt prompted to go see if an older widow in our ward needed any help with yard work. When we pulled up she was right there in her yard struggling with her weeds. She loves pink and was dressed in a bright pink sweat suit and bright pink lipstick pulling weeds! We were able to help her with her weeding, and we also planted a bunch of flowers for her.... pink flowers of course! Every time we go over she feeds us whatever she has in her fridge, which usually consists of something with butter. Sister Call is allergic to dairy and she always says, "I don't think anyone in the South realizes that butter is dairy." Haha, everyone uses so much butter in all the food they serve us!
That day we also were trying to find a member of the ward that we hadn't seen in a long time. She lives in an old Cotton Mill from the early 1900's that has been redone into apartment buildings. We realized that we had to have a key card to even get in. I sarcastically said, "Maybe she will somehow be walking out here and will find us!" No less than 30 seconds later we heard, "Hey, Sisters!" Sister Call and I looked at each other in disbelief. We turned around and there she was walking back inside from her car! Heavenly Father definitely is watching out for us. We were able to get to her apartment and have a really good visit with her! I am so grateful for the many miracles that we see each day, some big, but mostly small- I love being a missionary! I love you all and hope you have a great week!
